General Research of Electronics, Inc. (GRE) hereby announce that we will start
liquid crystal display module business on September 1, 2006 through business
transfer relating to all “Standard LCD Module” (LCM) business from Seiko
Instruments Inc. who have had many years of experience and results in LCD technology.

We will be able to meet any customers’ needs by adding GRE’s networking
capability to long fostered know-hows and human resources inherited from
Seiko Instruments Inc. By using Standard LCD Modules, no initial cost is needed,
and we can ensure quick delivery to customers through the strong sales agent
network inherited from Seiko Instruments Inc. as well as accept even small
volume order from customers. In the near future, we will work on the development
of LCD technology including expanding lineup of LCD products.
